I’m born in the Netherlands near the see and I studied architecture and interior design at the technical university in Delft. 

At the moment I live in Kleve in Germany. I work on residential architecture projects of all kind. Most inspiring to me is when I can focus on all parts of the experience. That includes interior and garden design as well as the making of the art.  Even in a carefully composed room the right piece of art adds identity and depths as a result of which the elements start to shine even brighter. My clients were having trouble to find such a piece. Though for me it is the natural next step. I always wanted to combine art and architecture.  So I started to fill out that niche. I began to paint and rediscovered my love for painting, as I did for many years till I became an architect. 

The last 10 years I developed myself as an artist with all kind of courses and open atelier sessions. I’m most fascinated by human forms, abstract compositions and the way colors become alive. In my painting process I focus on a direct and intuitive touch to find a minimalistic composition. I use colors that strengthen each other, also by using different layers. It makes me happy to search for the language of the design and than compose a piece of art that makes these words sing.
